I can't make myself like Fiona at all, just never has been appealing to me.
It is a lovely choice.
It's 100% Shrek to me. I also find it dated. It is actually one of my least favorites even though I love Finn. I just dislike the sound.
I've never liked it. I find it whiny.
There's something retro about this name to me. I don't know where that association comes from. It seems dusty and faded but in that good way, you know? Maybe because it's a very burnt-orange-and-mustard-yellow name for me, and those colours are hella vintage. Normally F is a green letter but this name is definitely yellowed for me.
It's sporty and brash. I would imagine a Fiona as pushy and loud, but I don't dislike it for that. Fiona has guts. It has the same brassy energy as Maxine and Deirdre and Ruby for me.

Can I ask what you see in Fiona? I'm not trying to be rude, it's just interesting when people see something in a name that you don't see.
I've known a few Fionas, they haven't been bad people my any means but maybe I'd like it more if I'd never met one irl. My aunt Fiona is lovely but extremely controlling and a bit mad. My neighbour growing up named Fiona was also lovely but the chubby daughter of a couple of sloppy farmers. So I guess I just don't see Fiona as particularly feminine or sophisticated or interesting.

I see like a quiet, mysterious character, that's also very loud and open. I like it's uniqueness as well, I've never met one in my entire life. It seems like a really cool and pretty name.
Thanks for sharing =)
I like Fiona a lot. But, the only one I know - sister of a friend - is always called Fee, which I don't enjoy.
I love this name! It’s been one of my favorites since I was 12
Love it
