Poppy
Poppy is the name of a flower. It is also on the rise. What do you think?

It sounds cutesy, childish, and very, very Brittish. It becomes more humorous when I think about opium poppy.
I used to like it as a flower name. But then I thought about saying it every day and ... POP. It's too goofy sounding.
It's not that it's childish exactly, I just get kind of a loud/sloppy vibe, similar to what I get from Ruby. I guess I see the appeal it has for others, but it doesn't appeal to me.

It's a little too darling for me. Not the worst choice on earth but it's sort of an eternal child name in my mind.
Beautiful name love it
its popularity is inexplicable to me ...
It's so babyish sounding, like a little kid's name for Grandpa. I can't stand it.

It's pretty cute =)
I think it is a bit infantile but not to the same extreme as Posy or Pansy, though idk how much of a compliment that is. It's cute but also cutesy. My eariest memory of this name comes from the TV show Fraiser in which a spoiled rich girl that was around for a few episode arc is named this and the rest of the cast mocked her for it behind her back.
