Dawn
Dawn is starting to sound nice and fresh to me again. What are your thoughts?

It could be because it’s not used in my country and thus I’ve never tired of it but I think it’s lovely. My dad has relatives who lives in the US and one of them is Heather Dawn. I always thought it was very beautiful and sort of poetic.

I think it's ugly in the same way as Maude. In certain accents, it's just unbearable. It also has this stale, cheap 70s vibe that is not at all appealing to me.

I always liked it. I especially like it as a middle.

Nah, it sounds ugly to me. I suppose I'm biased because my deranged half-sister is named Dawn, and she has a heavy Long Island accent, so she and her familiars pronounce her name really gratingly...Eos is much cooler.

It never sounded even slightly fresh to me, I'm afraid. A friend's mother must have been one of the first Dawn people, and she hated it, thought it was horribly sentimental, resented not having had a mn ... and I've got a step-niece named Dawn who is a rather difficult person, which doesn't help.

Yawn.

I always did like Dawn. It's so soft and pretty, but not fancy at all either. It makes a great mn or fn.
