It's okay. It feels very late 90s/early 00s trendy. Maybe because it's close to Tyler.
It sounds fine but is nothing special. I like Sky, Skye but not enough to use. But Skyler rolls off the tongue better than just Skye. But I guess I prefer Skye for its nature image.
I like Sky and Skye for girls (prefer Skye).
Skylar, Skyler and Schuyler are all okay for girls. For boys they are also okay but I wouldn't use Skylar on a boy because for some reason that spelling looks more feminine to me. Sky on a boy is okay but I wouldn't use Skye because again it looks like a girlier version.
I think for a boy I would pick Skyler and for a girl Skylar.
