It sounds good, but there was a famous suicide named Leela that it reminds me of. I like the spelling Lila a little more, but that can also be pronounced Lilah or Lyla so it's a little ambiguous.

It makes the pronunciation obvious, but that's the best I can say about it. Leila isn't a favourite of mine, but it has the virtue of history and accuracy.

I'm thinking of the character from Futurama. Which isn't a bad association. I actually prefer it to Layla or Lylah which I find unbearably sweet and fragile. On some level I also prefer it to Lily, Leela is more spirited and lively.

It looks a bit dumbed down that way. I'd just stick with Lila, pronounced LEE-la. It's okay but there are many spellings and pronunciations and it feels a bit boring and overdone.

It's better than Layla, but not as refined as Lily, although Leela is less common, which is a good thing for a name.
