Blair (f) has some appeal. It's kinda like Lauren to me - seems natty.
As a guy's name, I think it seems a little more stuckup, and I don't like it.
Briar is an ugly sound, imo, and not a nice concept for a name. Briars are prickly and grubby and unattractive.
Bramble would be a better hyper-earthy nature name, much more whimsical and poetic.
I guess Briar would be less ugly sounding in a British accent, because it'd sound like Bry-uh. But in an American one, it's growly and awkward.
