Briar!
Briar!
Blair mainly reminds me of blaring noises and Blair Witch Project (not my thing).
Briar isn't my fav (wouldn't prefer it over Bryony or Bramble) but my associations are Brian and Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty), which I feel more neutral/fond about.

Blair is a name whose idea I like much more than the reality. I think she (while I acknowledge unisex usage, I think of it as a feminine name, likely due to the similar sound to Claire) looks wonderfully sophisticated on paper; however, when said aloud I get the image of car horn and sirens blaring, and it doesn't leave. :-(
For this reason, my vote would go to Briar, which I appreciate as an underused botanical name. (I also view Briar as mainly feminine, which is admittedly my attitude toward most botanical names.) Just... don't pair it with Rose, please. Too cliché.

Briar is nice. It has the benefits of Brian without feeling overdone and 'normal' and it's a cool nature name. A little more prickly than most hippie type names.
Blair is just ugly IMO.
ETA: I know Blair is used on girls, but I still think a girl named Blair sounds like a girl Archibald or Darrell (I know a girl named Daryl and it gives me that same impression)

I like Blair. It has personal significance for me. I like it fine on either gender but prefer it on guys.
I don't actually like it very much. I just like it more than Briar. Briar is corny and I think it sounds bad. Blair is a little... pompous and awkward, but Briar is actually cringey and ugly for me.

Blair (f) has some appeal. It's kinda like Lauren to me - seems natty.
As a guy's name, I think it seems a little more stuckup, and I don't like it.
Briar is an ugly sound, imo, and not a nice concept for a name. Briars are prickly and grubby and unattractive.
Bramble would be a better hyper-earthy nature name, much more whimsical and poetic.
I guess Briar would be less ugly sounding in a British accent, because it'd sound like Bry-uh. But in an American one, it's growly and awkward.

Blair if you're talking girls, neither if you're talking boys. I had a boy bully in high school named Blair, and I don't care for Briar on either gender.
Briar
I don't love either of them but Briar seems spunky, whereas Blair seems boring to me.

Blair
I like both for girls, but Blair wins this round.

I have a cousin Blair who also married someone named Blair so I'm a bit Blaired-out. Briar is more interesting to me, even if the sound isn't really that pretty.
...so which one's the guy?
unless they're same sex, ofc... but then which gender?

My cousin Blair is a woman. She married a guy also named Blair.
Briar sounds very masculine to me, so I don't like it for a girl. It's only so-so for a boy.
Blair sounds like something someone would say when they're disgusted by something, so I don't like this as a name in general.
Ps. Could you try and combine posts next time? Asking for opinions could easily be done in 1 post.

YES!!! Blair sounds like a sound effect for disgust. Like "blech" or "blaarg".
I’m going with Blair, but I like them both.
Hi !!!
I like both but I prefer Briar.
Briar 8/10 I like it for both boys and girls. For girls is fairy-tale-themed while for boys is gentle and nature-themed with a similar sound to Brian.
Blair 8/10 it is ok for any gender. It is short and doesn't need any nickname. It is quite sharp and rough is any case.

Blair
Of the two, definitely Blair. I dislike Briar on every level. This word is historically used in an insulting way in my area. It's basically an ethnic slur against Appalachians who relocated to the area decades ago. Calling someone a "Briar Hopper", or just Briar for short, is another term for hillbilly, redneck... It would never do around here.
Aaand I just noticed I posted that as a reply to Felie. Sorry about that...
