Iggy has pretty well got to be Ignatius; I had a colleague once named Agnes who was known as Aggie: I prefer Agatha as a name, but I don't really enjoy Aggie at all.
But you've got my head swimming. Little Lulu comics! Iggy and someone were brother and sister; not Aggie but something close. Annie, maybe? Allie? And I think all the characters just went by their nns. Help!

Agnes and Augustus, maybe, for Aggie.
Ignatius for a boy for Iggy but I can't for the life of me think of any name you could reasonably make Iggy short for for a girl. Elizabeth?
