Re: Kimberly (Nicknames, spelling)

Kimberly always looks like a spelling error. The South African town, Kimberley, was named after a British government minister, so the -ey version works as both a lnfn and a place name.
I dislike the name: the town is unattractive, poorly run and impoverished, the sound of the full name is pretty ordinary, and as nns go, Kim is very bland and dated.
Kimberleigh is worse, however. It looks like an attempt at originality by a young teenager. Kinnly looks like a typo for Kindly, which doesn't help. I hope you will have changed your mind before you have a daughter.
