Queenie
Thoughts on this name for a girl? Do like Queen better? Combo ideas? He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

I search combos even when I don’t like the name, but everything here sounds like a mock title + first name. Think “Queenie Elizabeth”. The MNs you can somewhat use are very unusual.Gülten
Breindel
Virág

This would be a good name for a cat.

It could work as a nickname for Regina, at least it's not as pretentious as Queen - if feels more like the name of a peppy waitress. Queenie Wilhelmina?

No. Just no. It's absolutely horrible. I can't imagine why someone would name their child this, unless they're hoping the child will be a spoilt brat.

I like Queenie, I especially like the way it looks but I think it's overall very cute. Queen not so much.Queenie Raphaelle
Queenie Madeline
Queenie Nell
Queenie Roxana

Both names are unwholesome. I can't imagine using either, and can't therefore imagine combos either; but I hope nobody would use Anne, Elizabeth, Mary or Victoria as mns. That said, DH had a student once whose given names are Queen Elizabeth. He says he felt really silly every time he had to call out her name.

Unwholesome? Sorry, I just don't know what that means in this context.

Maybe 'pretentious and fake'? Or, 'pretentious and fake and sick-making'.

Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Don't like either name

It’s cute, but I like neither on an actual person.

My grandmother’s cat, I love the name because of it.I think it has a vintage charm to it (similar to Enid, Opal and Nova)

I dislike both of them but Queenie is a bit better. They both sound awful, though. So squeaky.

Yuck. It would be an awful name even for a dog.
It actually sounds kind of insulting, like you'd sarcastically call someone that who was being prissy or demanding.
Queen is one of those pretentious royal-title names that just shows up the pretentiousness of the parents.

I dislike both Queen and Queenie with a passion. Queen isn't good, and Queenie is even worse. I prefer Raina or Raine. It literally means "queen".
