Hi !!!Luthien / Tinuviel's story belongs to 'Silmarillion' that is set thousands years before both 'The hobbit' and 'The lord of the rings' so you can read them easily and then reading Luthien's story (that was also published as a standalone book). You can also read them chronogically so firstly 'Silmarillion' (with Tinuviel's story inside it) then 'The hobbit' and finally 'the lord of the rings'.I love them all.Personal Name Lists https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/125456

I would suggest starting with The Hobbit and LotR, then continue to Silma if interested enough. It's not an easy read book, and even the most ardent Tolkien lovers I know haven't been able to read it through. I wasn't. :DTinuviel is very beautiful, as a literature name. It's very light and airy.

The Silmarillion has a lot of history that you won't care about unless you're already a Tolkien/Middle Earth fan, so definitely start with the Hobbit and LOTR.
