Sounds a tad elitist.
Whatever. I think its an awesome name. Go for it! Yes, my baby is better than your baby lol. This is obviously what this is all about. A little inferiority contest.
Sounds like a litre
Agree with the others that it sounds like elite. It would look like naming your kid something like Duke, Baron, Rich, Manor, etc.
Alita is nice though.

Elite
That's immediately what I see and think. I strongly prefer Aleta and Aletta.

What's wrong with elite?
It's a pretentious word to name a baby after. Even if you don't mean it in the "rich" way, it's like calling your baby Special or Best.
How is it different then names that mean superior? Elita sounds pretty, and I'm fairly sure no one would think of"elite"
You may have noticed that almost everyone who commented on this thread says it looks like "elite" ;-)
That's also the first thing I noticed, and it's all I can think of when I see this name. So no, not very usable in my opinion.

Seriously?
It's one letter away from "elite," and unless I'm pronouncing Elita completely incorrectly, it sounds just like "elite."

Elitist/elitism?
I have known an Aleda and an Eleeda which both sound similar to Elita to me. It's not necessarily a bad name but it doesn remind me that I need to run out and grab a litre of milk from the shop today.
ay-lee-tah? I like the sound but it looks very similar to elite and therefore pretentious.
