Flavia
What are your thoughts on Flavia?Do you prefer FLAH-vee-a or FLAY-vee-ah? I like the first option better.

Same, I like the first best. I don't like the name though. I do want to be like Flavia, though. 10 kids by 18? Can't happen to me but W.O.W. I wish!!

I like it a lot. It has a beautiful sound when pronounced FLAH-vee-a and it’s cool that it’s Roman.

The chemistry loving girl detective in the Flavia de Luce series has given me a fondness for the name. It is pretty, connected with Roman mythology, and there may be a couple of saints associated with it too, giving it a rich history. The meaning is a little dull but not bad. I prefer the FLAH-vee-a pronunciation.

I really like it! I was a big fan of the Roman Mysteries books as a kid - their protagonist is a Roman girl called Flavia Gemina, so I've got pretty strong positive associations with it. I always mentally pronounced it FLAH-vee-a, which I much prefer to FLAY-vee-a, which I recently found out is the pronunciation some of my friends who read the books used.

It's pretty, there's a beautiful antiqueness in it, and it gives off a golden, shiny vibe.Prefer FLAH-vee-a.
