BA: Baby Cousin
So my cousin and his partner (doubt they're ever getting married) finally announced the name of their baby girl today: M A E V E. M A R T I N! (Martin is a family name on both sides, apparently.)
I was actually expecting something much more gender-neutral from them, so Maeve was a pleasant surprise. Though I'm less surprised that it's paired with Martin. (I don't think they're planning on having any more kids.)
Also, apparently the final two names they were considering, after she was born, were Maeve and Aurelia.

Maeve is lovely! It is becoming quite popular in my area. It's nice to hear.
Maeve is nice enough. Martina would have been good, or even Martine, Maeve Martin just sounds like FN LN. I would have preferred Aurelia, but if they're leaning towards neutral names, Maeve is definitely less frilly feminine than Aurelia.
Congrats to your family!
Congrats to your family!
Maeve is very pretty but I'm starting to hear it a LOT. Martin is just bad for a girl and I don't love the flow with Maeve regardless.
It sounds like Martin wasn't meant as a "middle name" so much as an extra surname/family name.
