Thoughts? And what nicknames do you like for it?

Its ok, nn Pam Pammie Mel Mela
I really like Pamela! I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I find it refreshing.
I don't like any nicknames for it.

It’s cute but very middle aged. Ela would make a good nickname.
It's very very dated and reminds me of the baking spray. Pamela and Pammy are okay but I really hate Pam, it is so so unattractive.
I don't like it and I dislike Pam too. I'm not too keen on Mel either, but it would get my vote in this situation.
It is so drab to me. I think Pam is hideous, but the ending of the name isn't so bad, I guess.
I only ever really knew one, a friend's mom, and she was really cranky and yelled a lot. That just solidified my dislike of the name. It feels like the name of an unhappy person.
The exceptions: a) my friend had this really old manish convertible in high school and she named it Pam and it was hilarious. b) Pamela or Pam would be hilarious on a dog.

I probably like it a little better than I once did. But only in full. I still dislike Pam and I can't really think of any other suitable nicknames. I'm not the hugest fan of most nicknames, to be honest, though.
I think it's a very pretty name, but I really don't like the nn Pam; my MIL's sister is named Pamela/Pam and she is dumber than a bag of hair. Seriously.
Also, Pam is the stuff I spray my cookie sheets with.

I like it very much. The only nn I've ever encountered is Pam, which I'm OK with, but I do prefer the full version.
As a full name it's not terrible, there are certainly worse things to be called... but when I was in school it was the name of several kids' mothers, so it gives me a "Mom name" impression.
Also, the nickname Pam is synonymous in my mind with cooking spray.
