Lyric
I never really thought about it but it is kind of cool.Do you like it? Boy or girl? It reminds me of Eric. So I think it works on both?Do you put this in the neutral and usable word name category (River, Skye, Lily) or more into the...cheesy category (like Dusty or Rainbow or something).

I dislike it, and it seems feminine to me. It's definitely flimsy and cheesy.

It's pretty, but I find word names in which the word is neutral (there are good, bad, and mediocre lyrics) cheesy. It sounds much more feminine than masculine to me.

Not usable at all, I don't think. I find it so cheesy, it should have maggots peering out. And I imagine a baby, optimistically named Lyric (or Rainbow!), growing up to be stodgy and without imagination.

Thank you for the mental picture of maggots "peering out".

I can't say I'm a fan for either sex. I guess I'd prefer it on a girl. I like River, Skye, and Lily, but Lyric seems to me like it'd be categorized with Poet, Sonnet, Monet, and something like... Tennyson (or Tennasynn) or something, shudder.

I think it's usable for a girl. The "Ly-" part seems to make it feminine even though "-ric" sounds masculine. It's a little hippieish, but not too weird.

I'm likely to be in the minority here but I actually really like it. I think it sounds pretty cool. Something a bit different and unexpected, not a name everyone would be familiar with, but still useable in my opinion.
I prefer it for boys as it just seems more masculine and boyish in both look and appearance. I personally don't care for it as a "girl's" name but maybe that's just me. /:

I don't like it at all for boy or girl. I've only heard it on girls. Cheesy. Cheesy as hell
