Definitely prefer Niamh to Neve. I live in Scotland though where Gaelic names like Eilidh pr Aylee and Mhairi pr Varee are also used a lot.

Oh you are from Scotland? Could you tell me how you pronounce Ailís? Is it AY-lish or AY-leesh?

I would pronounce it Ay-lish
