With the rise of so many “-lyn” names like Evelyn, Madelyn, and Katelyn, I think plain Lynn itself probably won’t make a comeback.
That being said, Lynn is rather bland. Rose is bland as well, but only as a middle name - it would be pretty refreshing to hear as a first name. May as a first name would be refreshing as well, since Mae has been getting so overused as a middle name.
My favorite one-syllable names are Belle, Claire, Eve, Lise, and June.
