I second Amir.Because my son had a friend in fourth grade named Amir, who was multilingual, independent for his age, and seemed very likely to grow up into a handsome and athletic golden boy type. His mother was Samia.

This is very true, and people who were popular in highschool very rarely are more successful than anyone else. For purposes of this story, I thought Rashid might sound too middle aged, and I was curious to see what names others regard as attractive.
