Attractive Arabic Male Names
In a story that I'm working on, I had a side character named Rashid. Along with his two friends, he makes up the trio of "golden boys" that excel both academically and in sports. However, I am changing his name because the name Rashid does not quite fit a highschool heart throb. What Arabic names sound the most attractive/sexy to you?

Amir or Omar, the latter because of Omar Sharif, though maybe that’s a bit in your face? This said, high school throbs are going to have names their parents liked, not necessarily names that fit heart throbs.

I second Amir.Because my son had a friend in fourth grade named Amir, who was multilingual, independent for his age, and seemed very likely to grow up into a handsome and athletic golden boy type. His mother was Samia.

"This said, high school throbs are going to have names their parents liked, not necessarily names that fit heart throbs." This is very true, and people who were popular in highschool very rarely are more successful than anyone else. For purposes of this story, I thought Rashid might sound too middle aged, and I was curious to see what names others regard as attractive.

Rashid is fine. I've known attractive men and boys with unattractive names, and vice versa.

I love Ari, but I view it as Hebrew rather than Arabic. Zayn is handsome. I know someone named Tariq/Tarek, so I don't want him to think that the character is based on him.

I always thought Hadi was very attractive

Hadi is cute. It sounds feminine to me, but people would undoubtedly object if I used it on a girl. Thank you for the suggestion.

I like Samir. The meaning "companion in evening talk" sounds romantic.

I like Yasir, Farhan, and Ilyas for a different character in my story, who is more happy go lucky. I agree that the meaning of Hasan suits the character, so I'll certainly consider it. It is interesting that the historical Hasan was poisoned by one of his wives. She probably hated living in a harem. According to the internet, Hasan spent his time "making and unmaking marriages" and there are some pretty wild estimates on how many wives and concubines he had when all his divorces are added up. If this character was a womanizer, I would definitely use Hasan.
