Blanche (m)
Bianca sounds pretty cacophonous to me; I guess it's the "onk" sound. I know many find Blanche cacophonous, but I've never felt that way.Blanca's better than Bianca, but I still prefer Blanche.

My sister is Bianca, and here we do not have the "onk" sound, it's definitely with an A sound. With the "onk" I agree it's unattractive.

I figured it was an American accent because that's how I've heard it said in American films. I'm in England. It would be interesting for me to know the Italian pronunciation.

What A sound do you use? Because "ank" and "onk" as in "honk" sound pretty much the same to me.

In my accent, ank and onk are completely different sounds.Bianca, in a southern English accent, (which I have) rhymes with anchor.
