I knew someone who named their son Zepherin a few years ago. It's a saint's name. I lost touch with them so I don't know how it worked out as far as nicknames.

I find it gaudy and tacky on a boy, and on a girl it’s even worse. I happen to love Zéphyrine on a girl, though.

I think it is, or was, male. And wasn't there a car once called a Zephyr? Perhaps a UK one?

I knew a Zephne once; she was a girl all right, but I never knew her well enough to ask where her name came from. Perhaps a merger between Zephyr and Daphne?

Well it's totally masculine to me. Strongly prefer Zephyrine for a girl.

I went to high school with a girl named Zephyr. It's not a favorite of mine, but I don't hate it.

It's not bad, but I'd prefer it as a pet's name or middle name.

This was a favourite of mine when I was 13 haha. It's cute, but perhaps better as a middle name.
