Maia, Mira, Mina, and Mara are much better.

It used to be one of my favorite names, but it's kind of lost it's charm because for me because it's so popular.

It's ok

Hopelessly trite as a full name, because it's identical with 'mine'; fine as a nn for Maria if you like that kind of thing. I'm not a fan.
