I love it with the pronunciation LAY-la, however it might get confused for names such as Laila, Layla, Leyla, etc, and also it could be incorrectly pronounced LEE-la.

I don't think Leila would be mistaken for LEE-la (that would probably just be Lila or Leela). Leila is more common than those other names (except maybe Layla), and it's not very common for "ei" to be "ee". Plus it looks fairly close to Leia and people know how to say that.
