Stellan, definitely. It sounds fuller and star-like, while Kellan is modern and lacklustre. Today, I'd go with Stellan Alistair.

Kellan. I actually like Stellan better but I think it would be confused with Stella a lot.

I really like both but I'd go with Kellan since I have Irish ancestry and very little, if any, Scandinavian ancestry.

Both names are on my "backburner" for boys' names I like. OSince I fear a Stellan outside of Sweden (or Hollywood) would get teased by being called "Stella" a lot, I'd probably choose Kellan.
