Re: Caleb
I like Kay/Cay, for a boy. **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

If it could be a double initial, like CR for Caleb Ronald, poor child, it would be better than just a C or a Cay. Way too close to Kate for comfort. And kale isn't encouraging stuff to eat, so Cale would be quite a punishment unless he came from a long line of vegans with powerful jaw muscles.

Cale as a name isn't unusual in my experience

huh, I've never heard that before.

When my daughter was a child, she had a neighborhood friend named Kail, pronounced just like kale. Cute little red-headed boy.

Huh...I guess I just don't think of names the way some people do. Sure, you could say Cale/Kale is a terrible name because of the vegetable, but I don't think it's a big deal. It sounds name-y enough, to me. Agree to disagree.

I teach a kid named Kale. He's 18 now!I think Kale is totally fine. Especially since so many of the kids named Caleb that I teach get called Cale or Cales.

Same here. If Gwyneth Paltrow can name her daughter Apple, why can't boys be named Kale? Haha
