I love Schuyler for either gender. I prefer this traditional spelling, it makes the name look more classic, noble and scholarly like the meaning. Still sounds familiar, so it does not scream "snob". I like Skyler, too, but not as much.The spelling is not intuitive for many English and non-English speakers, but I don't see it as a big deal. Variant spellings are getting more and more common. It's no worse than Kaylee / Kayleigh / Kailey.Edit: Marcel is handsome and underrated, but it's a bit of a mouthful with Schuyler. Your don't say your full name out loud very often, though.
