I think it has that special vintage appeal. My first thought was the nice female teacher in Anne of Green Gables, Miss Muriel Stacy, and Anne says it’s a romantic name. -riel names are very pleasant to my ears in general and I think the more you say Muriel, the prettier it becomes.
