I thought Isabeau was gorgeous, when I was a kid.
There's a Dido song called "Isobel" that came out around 2000, and I thought the name was so pretty, then.
I like Isidora, now.Isabella sounds really tired. Isabelle is annoyingly close to it. Isabel is nice enough, elegant looking.

The first time I watched Ladyhawke (I think that's how it's written) I thought Isabeau was such a cool name. But good luck shaking the "is a bow" association if you use it in real life. (Strangely, Isabel doesn't get labeled "is a bell," although I get that vibe when it's in the middle name slot.)

The “is a bell” thing does happen. I got it as a kid. Didn’t bother me too much, there are worse names/teasing out there. I mostly only get compliments on it.
