If you don’t have a Polish/Slavic background it’s very out there.

All I can think of is a joke my father once made. His surname (and mine until I married) was Slovak, but it was often mistakenly taken to be Polish. After he had married my stepmother, the two of them heard that the mother of my stepmother's deceased first husband had been going around saying, "I have it on good authority that Biggie married a Polack." (Stepmother went by Biggs, a nickname from her maiden surname, mother-in-law could not or would not get it right, nope, that doesn't happen only in old sitcoms.) My father joked that if he ever met the woman, he would dress like the Czechoslovakian brothers on "Saturday Night Live" and tell her, "They call me Bud, but my name's really Stanislav".In other words, the name is stereotypically Eastern European.

Stanislav is way better then Stanley. It looks and sounds more masculine next to weak Stanley, too.

Looks and sounds better than Stanley, but too alien for me to consider.

I like it. Stanley would make a good nn, though I like Stanislav better than Stanley.

It's appealing. Has a sort of heroic vibe to it - but, not like trying to be larger than life. Kinda like Frederick.
I slightly prefer Stanislaus (the final S silent), because it's more familiar to me and easier to say.
