As they try to change their worlds,

They're quite aware of what they're goin' through.

I don't care for Goldie. I think Marigold would have been lovely.Man does it suck to see everyone dislikes your name. Patricia really isn't that bad... lol And it was used here to honor Daly's mother who died in 2017.

I feel you. I've seen some pretty harsh comments about my own name here. And to tell the truth, I think they are due solely to the fact that my name is dated, as is yours.I can't really wrap my mind around anyone thinking Patricia is ugly. Dated, of course. Old lady and middle-aged, well, sure, all dated names are. Frumpy, maybe, because it was so popular that some women named Patricia were bound to be frumpy. But ugly? Of course, opinions are opinions and can't always be and don't have to be justified, but Patricia is so soft and melodious I can't help thinking that in the case of this name "ugly" means simply "dated". FWIW, I think Patricia is pretty.

The main things I don't like about Patricia are how much it sounds like patrician (meaning seems almost transparent) and the NNs Patty / Pat.
I feel like Patty is irredeemably ugly, and Pat has a condescending vibe.I like Trish / Trisha.
Otherwise, it reminds me of names like Alicia, Leticia, Pamela.
...and maybe names like Lavinia, Jessica, Cressida, Gloria, Melissa, Clarissa, Cassandra.I think it's nice as a MN.

Goldie is horrid. I like Patricia.

It's an atrocity. Goldie is a cutesy nickname as a kid, but horrible on an adult. And Patricia is ugly and outdated. It doesn't fit well with the other kids names either. They are just a random assortment of trendy, common or outdated. (London Rose, Etta Jones, and Jackson James)

idk, London, Etta, and Goldie don't sound weird as sisters, to me...as a group, they sound like someone went shopping for names in an upscale thrift shop. And Jack could be anyone's brother.

I do think it's pretty cutesy, and you're right, it doesn't match at all

Goldie is nice as a nickname for Marigold, but a bit childish as a given name. Patricia is horrid.

I don't know who Carson Daly is but I like the choice of names.

I’m not really feeling it. Goldie’s a cute nn but it sounds like they’re trying too hard. The story behind the name is sweet though.

I like it. I've always had a soft spot for Goldie/Golda. It's definitely got that retro-chic vibe to it.

Dont like Goldie as a fn

I have no idea who Carson Daly is, bur Goldie as a full given name is... it's not good. Sounds like a dog. Goldie Patricia is very old lady... which is a little hypocritical of me, as my own daughter's name is pretty old lady. But there's old fashioned, and then there's Goldie Patricia. Goldie Patricia leaves long comments on your Facebook status that have nothing to do with it instead of sending you a message. Everything in her house is floral, pastel, and lacy.

That makes absolute sense.
(Carson Daly was a show host in the 90's, and now he works at the today show)

Well, Patricia is nice, although pretty dated. Goldie on the other hand...not so much. It JUST sounds SO ridiculous to me and the FN+LN combo is rather silly.

Wow, I love it! So retro and jaunty.

I think it's a nice combo, because I dislike Patricia, yet I like the combo overall...Goldie is funky, and Patricia strikes me as fastidious kinda.I like Golda and Marigold, so Goldie has grown on me somewhat, by association.

Goldie is so ugly. It's what people with no imagination name their goldfishes.
Goldie Daly sounds silly to. As does one of his other daughters, London Daley. I hope she marries somebody with the last name Mail.

Not a fan. I dislike nicknamey first names, and I don't love Patricia either.

I like it a lot. It’s really sweet. :)
