Loretta is quite an old-fashioned name, so it's surprising to see it on a new baby. Couldn't care less about the middle name, though.
Don't know who she is, but that name is adorable.
Loretta doesn't sound at all like the name of anybody from the UK, even from when that name was popular. Early to mid twentieth century.

I suppose this is quite pedestrian of me, but I cannot divorce Loretta from "hillbilly". I suppose this is due at least in some part to Loretta Lynn, who yes was a hillbilly in her youth at least. However, I think there was something hillbillyish about it even before she gained any fame. In spite of the fact that my sister had a college friend named Loretta who wasn't in the least a hillbilly.
