Thomasin
WDYT of Thomasin, for a girl?Does it make you think of "The Witch"? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

It's nice, pretty but i prefer Thomasina. I've never seen The Witch, so no.

I believe I've seen "The Witch", a rare example of my watching a horror movie, but I didn't even recall that the name Thomasin is in it.I find Thomasin somewhat awkward and far prefer Tamsin.

I like Thomasina and love Tamsin, but Thomasin feels more awkward. I think if somebody introduced themselves as this I’d stand there for a few extra milliseconds waiting for them to finish with another syllable. Long enough to make it awkward when they didn’t.

Don't know from witches; Thomasin isn't as complete as Thomasina, which I prefer but would never use - I'd use Thomas, nn Tom, for a boy any time. And, although it is dated, I might still consider Tamsin; something of a GP, but hey, why not?

This is a “Jamesina” name — a desperate and awkward feminization of a name that should simply stay all-male.Names like Theodora, Alexandra, and Georgiana are elegant, but Thomasin is just Thomas. With an -in. Not attractive at all!Tamsin is okay.

I really dig it. It does make me think of “The Witch” but I quite like that about it. Sort of austere and ethereal.

I think it was a good choice for the daughter in The Witch because Thomasin does have a very Puritan feel to it. It's a good name - not as frilly as Thomasina - but I prefer Tamsin by far.

I prefer Thomasina but Thomasin is also really lovely. Doesn't remind me of the witch, i'd forgotten it was in there.

Don't like it, I like the similar name Tamsin though

I know a Thomasina, so Thomasin just looks and sounds incomplete. I don't know what "The Witch" is.

No, I don't know what "The Witch" is. It makes me think of Jameson and Thomasina.

It sounds like medicine to me. Take two Thomasin with a full glass of water at least half an hour before meals to prevent reflux.
