Michaela, Jedidiah & Hephzibah .... WDYTO the Sibset?
Replies
I like Hephzibah. :)
I'd rather call her Zaza, and I think they missed an opportunity to have a "Jedi" in the family.
I briefly had a dentist named Jedidiah who I didn't really like. I dislike Michaela and all its spelling variants.
The sibset as a whole looks random-hyper-Christian. I'm not against using weird biblical names myself, though. I'd totally use Meshach, Absalom, and Vashti in a sibset.

Michaela doesn’t seem to fit, sound wise, but the spelling does.
Jedidiah is okay, but I don’t like the nickname Jed.
Hephzibah, I first thought was a boy name, I think mixing it up with Hezekiah. It could be a guilty pleasure, but is too weird in real life and so is the nickname.
It screams overly religious and I usually am a fan of Biblical names, but these sound a Duggar level family of religious, and I feel like the parents would be very judgmental people.
If I could rename them without going too far off the parent’s style: Elizabeth, Jeremiah, and Catherine.

They're actually not judgmental people. Just a solid, everyday Christian family involved in the community and whatnot, trying to raise decent kids and not make waves at all.
...I think Catherine is way far off from Hephzibah...if I was converting it to a 'secular/mainstream' version, I'd go with something more like Ophelia, Daisy, Lyric, or Gladys...
Actually, if I rename them all in a 'non-biblical/classic' style... Sophia, Benedict, Marigold.

It sounds very... closed-community-of-friends-religious-fundamentalist when you hear them in a set like that, despite Michaela having been so popular recently. Like they would homeschool, but not because they have legitimate doubts about the education system, because they want to teach their kids that Jesus lives in their underpants or that their race is the purest without any interference.
I’m sure they’re actually very nice people who are nothing like that in real life, that’s just the vibe I got from the names.

I like Michaela, but much prefer Makayla or Mikayla.
Jedediah is so hilbilly it's not even funny. Hephzibah sounds like a cartoon wicked witch and I'm not even sure how to pronounce it.
Michaela definitely got the best piece of candy here.
