Eveline
What do you think of Eveline? Do you like it better or worse than similar names like Evelina and Evelyn? I really adore the nickname Evie so I'm thinking it is a strong contender for me to take to the delivery room along with Eleanor and Iris.
I am pronounce it like EV-uh-leen.

I love Evelina to pieces, but Eveline and Evelyn are absolutely beautiful too, really adorable! The only problem I would see with Eveline is that its pronunciation isn't obvious, I much prefer EV-uh-leen or pronouncing it like Evelyn than Eva-line, the later spoils the name very much imo. Eleanor is beautiful too, but I slightly prefer Eveline and its variants.
I guess it's kind of like Gwendoline vs Gwendolyn. Gwendoline has some appeal to me, but Gwendolyn is more familiar by far, so I'd feel safer going with the *lyn spelling.
Based on that, I'd pick Evelyn over Eveline, assuming I liked both enough to use. Eveline seems sleeker than Evelyn or Evelina, though, if that appeals.
I'd prefer Eve or maybe Evangeline / Yvonne for NN "Evie"...I generally prefer the 'eev' sound to the 'ehv' sound.
I vote Iris 100%, though. Iris Eveline is pretty, and if it's in the middle, pronunciation isn't really a concern. I prefer it to Iris Eleanor.
