Agnes is my middle name and I love it as it’s a bit different from most middle names I’ve heard used for my generation (1980s). I would still use it even as a first name now as older names like Ethel, Connie, Olive and Rose are making a comeback. I don’t think many people would think it odd. The most they might think is that it’s honouring someone and where’s the harm in that.
