Re: Stephanie

I have somewhat of a negative association with this name so I'm not keen.
However if I try to look past that, the name is still good to use, not dated at all and not overused.
Though the possible nickname of Fanny (UK = Vagina / US = Arse) should be a consideration.

That is horrible :(
It is. Kids can be mean. If you're a kid who doesn't line up with the "normal" then they'll choose anything no matter how silly. It's possible to raise your kids to not care about other's opinions / silly comments on names, but I'm sure that's difficult to do and would rely heavily on the child's own demeanor.
Our Stef didn't care, or didn't seem to. In retrospect it's hard to tell because well... let's say shit happened. I can elaborate if you want, but I will withdraw the semi-essay for now.
Despite that, I know some people take possible mean nicknames into account so I thought I should mention it

You don't need to elaborate. It is personal. You are right that kids can be cruel and I hope that she's well. ;(
