I don’t really like any of the Jul-names. Maybe it’s my accent, but that sound feels really ugly in my mouth. It sits in the back of my throat like a stuck grape.
I’m on the fence about
Juliet itself. I do appreciate a literary connection, but
Juliet feels so... obvious. It’s a bit “Look how cultured I am, I’ve read Shakespeare” but it’s the one play literally everyone has read, because we were all forced to in high school. It’s too pretentious but also too mainstream, if you know what I mean. While that’s probably the draw for some people, I just kind of like names to pick a lane.
Juliette is an unnecessary elaboration.
