As tragic romantic heroes go, Tristan is a whole lot better than Romeo, partly because his story isn't as familiar. I quite like it, but not enough to use myself.

I like it, but it feels very... wistful. Like a Tristan would be handsome and kind, but also pale and sickly and kind of bland. I like the Tristram variant because it’s a little more unusual, but also because Tristram sounds like a healthy, well-meaning, fun-loving, freckled prankster.

I like it, but I don't think it's anything special. Not too long ago the BtN community was really into it (probably still are.) It's a nice, classic sounding name.
