I used it as a mn for my daughter, partly because of its beauty and history and partly because it was her step-grandmother's mn too. As a fn it is too long for comfort unless one actually is a queen, and nicknames cannot be ordered in advance. You might like Ellie, but she could still end up as Betty or Bess.
