Elizabeth?
Is it better as a first or middle name? I can see Elizabeth and Katherine as a subset, with nicknames Kate and Ellie.Top names:Girl: Emma, Katherine, Charlotte, and Anna.
Boys: Daniel, Liam, James, and David.

I like it better as a first name, but I'm a bit biased because I have it as a middle and am not a fan. Elizabeth and Katherine are a pretty classic and common sibset (at least where I grew up) so you can't go wrong. I know of 4 sibsets from growing up that had Elizabeth and Katherine as siblings; two went by Beth and two went by Liz. Ellie would help it feel a bit more modern with the other El- names around.

I love Elizabeth. A bearer of this name has so many easy variations immediately available.

I used it as a mn for my daughter, partly because of its beauty and history and partly because it was her step-grandmother's mn too. As a fn it is too long for comfort unless one actually is a queen, and nicknames cannot be ordered in advance. You might like Ellie, but she could still end up as Betty or Bess.

I like Beth or Elle/Ellie, but not Liz /Lizzie etc. This might be why I use this for a future daughter as a middle name.

I prefer Elizabeth as a first name. When I see it in the middle I slot it in with fillers and assume there was little thought put into the name.

I think Elizabeth is a beautiful, classic name. It’s my middle name, my grandma’s first name and also the name we’d picked out for our baby’s first name had he been a girl so I’m a fan of it as either a middle or first name.Elizabeth & Katherine is a lovely sounding sibset, and the nicknames Kate and Ellie go well together I reckon!

Elizabeth is a good name. It can be equally good as a first name or middle name, depending on what it was paired with. Elizabeth and Katherine go very nicely together.
