I wouldn't use it as a full name, but I don't mind it as a nickname for Andrea.
Seems childish as a full name, cute as a nn for Andrea.
I kinda like Andy for a boy, short for Andrew, though it does have an aw-shucks, retro kind of feel to it.
But Andi for a girl, I just don't like it. It makes me think of some annoying Valley Girl from the eighties, all big hair and Spandex and cracking gum and stupid talk.
If I liked it I'd say use it for Andrea. Maybe Amanda or Alexandra, if you're desperate to stand out from the Amandas and Mandys and Alexes and Allies and Lexis.
