Juliet snuck up on me too!
I used to have a strong dislike for EVERY name (male and female) that began with "
Ju" - just a distaste for the sound - but I fell in love with a couple of songs that used
Juliet in their chorus and it made me hear the name in a different way.
It snuck up on me so much that it ended up on my long list!
I think it's sweet, I don't get a particularly strong vibe from it which I traditionally like in my girls names but it has a lot going for it. I MUCH prefer
Juliet over
Juliette any day of the week!
Also, I don't think the tragic Shakespearean angle has much of a hold over the name as it might've once had.
