I really like it for a boy and would consider using it because the meaning "Sawer of Wood" has significance in my life because my Grandpa was a Timber faller (Logger) and my dad was a mill work and i grew up around sawmills.
I too despise this name on girls, there is nothing feminine or pretty or even tomboyish about it, its a very manly name to me. I hope this trend of boys names on girls ends soon.

Oh god, so do I! If you ask me, it's nothing more than a brainless and sexist trend. There are an UNCOMFORTABLE amount of masculine names listed within the girl's side of the chart.
About the only thing that eases my mind on this paticular matter is that no matter how trendy an obvious boy name becomes for a girl, no matter how many girls recieve the name, it will never become suitable for that gender. Ugh...*facepalm* );
