Aubrey
What do you think of the name Aubrey?

It makes me think of grey suede loafers.
I don't understand why anyone likes it for either gender. It's ugly and pseudo-posh.
I love Audrey Hepburn, but Audrey is dowdy. Aubrey is just as awkward sounding.

Awesome for a boy. Trendy and overused for a girl.
Ditto
I think that it is a pleasant, strong and under-used name - for a boy, that is. For a girl ... I've never seen it used on a girl where I live, and I cannot for the life of me see the point. Maybe it started out as a supposed variant of Audrey? But since I dislike bland, flabby Audrey, I can't see the point of that either.
On a girl it's completely unremarkable to me, but on a guy it becomes new and exciting because of the lack of male Aubrey's (at least where I'm from).
I much prefer Audrey.
Whether for a guy or girl, I've just never cared much for the sound of it, though believe me I've tried. Weird how just one letter can make such a difference but it just can.
Audrey sounds more feminine and CLASSIC. Aubrey...not so much. It just doesn't amount to its beauty.
