I’m not sure I would use Apple, even as a nickname. It was the butt of “stupid celebrity baby name” jokes for years. It was held up as an example of what happens when you have too much desire to be unique and not enough intelligence or empathy to realize you’re making your kid’s life difficult. It’s hardly the worst celeb baby name out there, but it was the poster child.
