It has grown on me too to the point where I can see myself using it. I still find Lilia to be prettier, but Lydia/Lyddie is far less common than Lilia/Lily and probably more sophisticated. For me, the Biblical and literature references also add to the appeal of Lydia. It's funny, for Sylvia I prefer the Silvia spelling but for Lydia I don't like Lidia...
