Hi !!!
I've then in my list but they are nearly 'old faves' because they became quite boring. They are great in combos though.

I loved Lydia back in the 1980s, long before it became popular. So there.
I don't like the Lidia spelling as much as Lydia, that's for sure. I also don't like the Silvia spelling as much as Sylvia, but I've noticed that Silvia is common among Hispanics. The Y just makes both names look prettier, IMO.

Lydia has been on-and-off my Top 10 for years. I could easily see myself naming a daughter Lydia - but only this spelling! I don't think Lidia, without the Y, has nearly the same charm.
Lydia Cecily
Lydia Jane
Lydia Madeleine
Lydia Marguerite
Lydia Meredith
Lydia Nadine
Lydia Pearl
Lydia Penelope
Lydia Seraphine
Lydia Sheridan

It has grown on me too to the point where I can see myself using it. I still find Lilia to be prettier, but Lydia/Lyddie is far less common than Lilia/Lily and probably more sophisticated. For me, the Biblical and literature references also add to the appeal of Lydia. It's funny, for Sylvia I prefer the Silvia spelling but for Lydia I don't like Lidia...
♥♥♥♥♥♥ Love, love, love it! I would use this name for a daughter in an absolute hearbeat if I didn't have a neice named Sylvia. But at least I plan on using it for a cat so at least I still get to use it, in a way. Just wish it could be for an actual child. Fairly certain this is my #1 girl's name.
Lydia: ages phenomenology well and is GORGOUSE beyond words. I also adore the nn 'Lydie'
I don't care for the other spelling.
