I kind of think George is an okay name. Nothing great, nothing awful. It has that Everyman and Average-Joe feeling to it. Georgie on the other hand, sounds a little too kiddy and I always think of the little brother from It when I hear it.

I only like George because of George Washington. It’s a nice name, but I don’t think I’d ever use it. I don’t like Georgie as a nn for George, but as a nn for a feminine form of George it’s fine.

I like George, but hate Georgie.
Georgie is not cute. Georgie Porgie comes to mind when I hear Georgie.

I love George! It will most likely be my son's name, if I should have one. I love the nickname Georgie! I also like Jory for something more modern/cool/mature

I've always gotten a comical, jester, schmuck sort of vibe from George.
I don't notice that when I meet kids named George, but if I consider the name as a name for a son, it doesn't appeal to me because of that impression.

I love the name! It's very handsome and could suit any sort of man.

I've always liked George. It's a friendly, cuddly, reliable sort of name.
I'm sure they exist but I can't imagine a slimeball George.

"I'm sure they exist but I can't imagine a slimeball George."I think that way about Sam, but with George...George Bush, George Wickham...it's pretty easy for me. I don't dislike George, though.

That is hilarious. I agree!

I don't like George. It's so bland.I love the feminine forms of Georgina and Georgiana though.

In English, George does nothing for me. Total blandness. In German, I like Georg a lot.FWIW, I like Georgina enough to use, though probably only as a mn.

Hi !!!George is pretty classic and very British in my opinion. I prefer the form Giorgio.
