I like Eric. I don’t love it enough to use, but it is nice, easy to pronounce, and not too popular.
The first thing that comes to mind is people I know with this name.
I had a history professor with the first name Eric. He was interesting, passionate, and very helpful to students. I really loved his teaching style. He would incorporate literature from the period that gave students a first person perspective of what people thought during the time.
Another Eric I know is an engineering type with an interest in board games, fantasy novels, and pop culture.
